Or any feedback on the Dodge Ram 1500. I had a 99' that was pretty bullet proof, but don't know much about the new body style with Hemi motor.

I have a 2003 1500 Quad Cab 2WD with the 345cid Hemi, 392 rear dif with 20 in tires.
It is my daily driver and doubles as the 19 ft Hallett hauler. It does quite well pulling the boat usually 13.8 mpg or sometimes better.
Back and forth from Lancaster to Edwards AFB it gets anywhere from 17 to 18.6 mpg. Around town do not expect to get more than about 14 mpg unless you drive like granny. I like the ride and it is certainly fun picking on Tundras. The engine really starts to pull hard above 3,000 rpm all the the way to over 5,000 rpm.
Cruising at 70 mph the tach is sitting at 2,000 rpm.
Any other questions just give me a call at home, my # is in my profile.
Do not go with the 4.7 liter, it does not tow for shit. I speak from experience.
I hope this helps, now go test drive one for yourself.:D
