What other website allows you to post photos I am having trouble posting on this one.

Debbolas

The very fair and famous Rexone posted this in the past....I know it is a lot to read, but it will really help you post pics...........:D
Here's a message I've posted in the past on this...
================
First thing is you must have your image hosted somewhere on the internet.. This can be ***boatimage center or elsewhere, doesn't matter. What you can't do is have it on you own computer and have it appear in a thread.
Assuming you done the above...
Bring the image up on screen wherever you have it hosted (we'll assume ***boat image center for now).
Right click on the image
A drop down menu will appear at the bottom will be properties
Click on properties.
A window will popup showing information on the photo.
One of the thing will be the URL address which starts with http....
Highlight the address (starting with the http) with your cursor
Go do edit on your tool bar (edit) and click "copy" (this copys the address you just highlighted to the clipboard on your computer)
Now go to the thread you want to post in (a second window open is handy for this)
When you post you will see a series of buttons at the top of the posting window.
Click on IMG.
A separate window will pop up that will have http.... in it. The http... will be highlighted. Hit delete. Now the box will be blank.
Now go to your tool bar again (edit) and click on "paste".
This pastes the address of the picture (which you copied earlier) into the little window.
Click done or whatever it says to complete. You will now see the image address code appear within your posting window.
Its important you only have one http series within your IMG tags which is the reason we hit delete above. Otherwise you end up with two and it won't work.
When finished your code should look something like this (with no spaces) and substituting [ ] for my ( ).
(IMG]http://yourpictureaddress[/IMG)
You can type message above or below the IMG tags but don't disturb them or anything between them because that is your picture address code.
In other words you could have...
--------------------------------
Hi, this is my boat
(IMG]http://yourpictureaddress[/IMG)
For more info call such and such.... and so on.
------------------------------
In the above example one line of text would appear above your photo and one below. The part between the IMG tags is your photo.
hope that helps.
:D

The part he leaves out ( I think) is to sign on and register at the Hot Boat Online Image Center. Upload your pics there first, then follow this directions...................;)

I already tried and they may be to big or something like that. I was going to post them somewhere else and then go thru the process of draging them back and posting them on my thread, because something is getting hung up somewhere and they are not going to my image center that I created.

Debbolas
07-31-2004, 09:19 PM
Be sure they are .jpg pics.
When I open my pic files, at the bottom there is an option as to what kind of pics you want to download....I change that to .jpg pics only and then I have no problem.
Size shouldn't matter unless you are doing your avitar.
good luck:D

Debbolas

79miller
07-31-2004, 09:51 PM

07-31-2004, 09:55 PM

Hey is there a thread over there about gas consumption ?
Jet Boat VS IO?
Our friend Ahhell has a jet and apparently he gets horrible gas millage/hours out of it. Is that just a jet thing, or special for his boat?

dgie
07-31-2004, 10:26 PM
did you have to crunch it down to get it in the image center?

Debbolas
07-31-2004, 10:27 PM
What is that?

dgie
07-31-2004, 10:28 PM

79miller
07-31-2004, 10:29 PM
I did it anyway, but I think you would have too.
The original is 2032 x 1524.
I shrunk it to 400 x 300 pixels.

dgie
07-31-2004, 10:30 PM

dgie
07-31-2004, 10:39 PM
Damn that must be $$$ a little out of my budget. The good thing about jet boats is out here in Texas they are rare, even though they used to build them out here too. go figure.

It's from RoadRunners on the parker strip. $12 mix of Vodka, rum, everything else, some fruit juices, finished off with a float of everclear. Good times and you get to keep the cup...

dgie
07-31-2004, 11:01 PM
let me throw one more your way this one is the reverse lever looking from the outside. the other pics get kind of repetative, so I will say this is the last. I appreciate it.

79miller
07-31-2004, 11:03 PM
No problem, send it over.
Is the lever in the forward position in the pics?
Can you grab the reverse gate on the jet and move it from there?

Is the lever in the forward position in the pics?
I am trying to remember. I actually cut the cable and mounted just the end in there to get it on the board to see how to rig it. The cable got tweaked and I chunked the rest of it. New one on the way from CP should be here by friday. I just dont want to tweak another one.

79miller
07-31-2004, 11:09 PM
Let's just say after one of those "Wild Nights" you might need a trip down to the clinic. After Roadrapers you might need some advil. Or another roadraper....

Debbolas
07-31-2004, 11:11 PM
Ok, I will stay away from that place then:D
Night all, talk to ya later;)

On mine, I just had to make sure there we nice long sweeping bends, no sharp corners. If you have a diverter, make sure it's not binding as you move it up or down...
The hose clamps could be squeezing it too much. You should use the morse brackets. I think they come with the cable....

Judging by the pics it should be in reverse...

dgie
07-31-2004, 11:28 PM
I think it is in reverse, I do not have those clamps though. I am not sure if it is getting supported enough and it is just tweaking because of that.

79miller
07-31-2004, 11:30 PM
Do you have any pics of the connection back at the jet?

dgie
07-31-2004, 11:35 PM
No its the standard Jacuzzi 12wj jet hookup back there. No pics and the boats at my sisters house about an hour from here.

79miller
07-31-2004, 11:36 PM
That's the next step, if I think of anything else I'll post it in the other thread in Just Jets.

dgie
07-31-2004, 11:39 PM
I am thinking it is rigged backwards, not sure if the cable is supposed to be up or down....my thread is over there I bumped it to the top when I posted the pic. Thanks for doing it for me.
