I'm replacing my speakers......

was looking at my speakers today and noticed one of them is separating from the surround. They are Clarion CM 1602's. I'm pretty sure I can fit a 6x9 in there instead so what should I do? I was thinking at least a 3 way 6x9 would sound better but they are powered buy the Clarion deck right now. If I leave my boat outside all the time should I go ahead and get marine speakers or what? Price is a pretty big issue. I wanted to add a sub or 2 with an amp also. Suggestions?

If you leave your boat outside without a cover, then you should get a marine grade speaker... You 'll get plastic grills...
For a good sounding "marine" 6.5 on a budget, see if you can find any Alpine STM6666 ....
