How long did it take to reach top speed?

I think he's talking about the Kilo record.
Will Outerlimits top it again?

Not sure what the time is. There is a sactioned event going on this weekend at Foutain for all comers to run for speed. Outerlimits and Fountain have a standing war going on for fastest VEE record and OL so far is a NO show. Probably not as long as one would think.
Yep it is a kilo run. Not to take anything from Outerlimits but there claim is GPS not through the lights on measured kilo.

Yea I think they are both hung out there a mile for bragging rights on who is fastest. There is something to be said for speed but for me there is much more to boating than who is the fastest. Makes for good press though.
I just wish that OL would have been there in force. Guess that will keep us all talking for a while though. :D

I have heard 2 different engine combos for the fountain:
1. 2 Sterling 1550's with whipple chargers & #6's
2. 2 2000hp engines
Listen to the broadcast here..... (http://interface.audiovideoweb.com/lnk/ny60win16035/Shows/Kilo+Recap.wma/play.asx)

Pretty sure they were PSI supercharged/injected Sterlings set on kill. Fountain will probably not admit to the real HP they had the tune up set to....

what does this realy prove though? At speeds like that, tehre is no way that there is much if any of the boat in the water, so hydrodynamic differences between the fountain and outerlimit boats should be nil. The fountain also has a huge beak on this particular boat as well as an extremely deep notch in the transom, again on this boat only. The fountain in this case is closer to a 35 foot boat
Anyone with deep pockets can rig a boat with over-the-top horespower and run big numbers.

Ready to ROCK smart a$$. No the blower motor is back in. Had it to Pine Flat and all is well. Mine is not set on KILL and these guys are WAY out of my league. Nothing hurt just lost an oil pump pick up at idle thankfully. Few parts to freshen it up a little. :D :D Man I need a trip to Havasu.
