Read this off Av-web this morning the the de Vinci project plans on making it's first attempt at the x-prize the first of October. 3 days after Space Ship One plans their first attempt.

I really hope someone give Scaled Composits a run for it's money, you know, just to make it interesting. :D

and here i was thinking i'm the only boater who's watching this thing get better and better, Rutans idea is good, but the daVinci looks promising, should be a fun time, maybe we can put some excitment back into Aviation.

Did you see what happened to the da Vinci project , it wasn't pretty, total failure this time, it'll be on the news today and tonight . MVG

I watch this stuff also. MY brother inlaw is involved in that stuff,I don't remember which club he is in but they were trying to launch their own rocket soon also. He works for Boeing and NASA, and is on the boards of the national space society and the Mars society. He has spoken to Congress about the future of space travel and that is his life.
