Alpine Digital Amps ???

Does anybody know anything about these new alpine amps?? I like how small they are but not sure how this new alpine 1000 watt amp would compair to the jl 1000/1 amps. They say these amps do not overheat and are great for boating applications. i find it hard to believe that something so small could put out as much power as the jl's amps.

I believe what they are referring to is that they are Class D amps and they are comparing it to the rest of the line(class a/b) in their own literature.... If a MFG has a "subwoofer" amp, it's class D... The JL line of subwoofer amps are all Class D..

Roz, Do you know how these alpine pdx-1.1000 amps compair(sound quality, power) to others on the market? iam thinking about running 2 pdx1.1000 to 4 jlw6 10's . Just not sure if these alpine amps will push these jl10's like the jl1000/1

Make sure the digital amps don't reset all their setting when you turn your batteries off. That would suck to have to tune it in everytime.
