Just kind of wondered what members of this forum don't have a boat since this is a boating forum.
Should members be required to own a boat in order to participate?

I bet there are more production ***boats or production boats that were modified into some sort of ***boat than customs here.
I just wondered, should members be required to own a boat? For further class division it could be further divided between production boats and customs.

currently "in-between" boats...couldn't handle the slow quiet boat so it's gone...

Nope.. Boat money went into the big pool and landscaping in the back yard. Have to replenish what I once had then spend it on a hole in the water like I did the hole in the ground...... Got PWC's for wave jumping Ensenada style though :D

I was on this forum for 2 years before I bought my first boat. The info i've read has been priceless (much, much better than ANY magazine available). I would hate to see this as a 'boat owners only' club. I hope these forums are for enthusiasts of any type.
As an example: I've met people who know more that I will ever know about racing and have never raced themselves. I've learned not to underestimate people.
I wouldn't want to limit myself from someone's knowledge because he currently doesn't own a boat.
Just my .02 :)

If you don't own a boat right now you should not be able to participate in "Hot Boat Forums." If you want to buy a boat you should have to go to "Wanna Hot Boat Forums" and if you have a boat for sale you should be forced to go to "Have Hot Boat For Sale Forums." :D :D :D
PS: for those of you who've been living under a rock and haven't yet heard... I do not (yet) own a boat. It's a long story and I won't bore you with the details (if you must know feel free to PM me :squiggle: )

Good point... That's one of the major reasons I sold my Eliminator... it was a wealth eliminator. But I still miss that boat.
My little 21' ULTRA will do for a while, then I want something in the 25-26 foot range...

I've owned about twelve boats, as many as three at once. I currently have a 21' v-drive cruiser that I paid cash for and fixed up. I usually spend weekends in my swimming pool though!
