Labor Day?

My 8 y/o asks me over the weekend, "What is Labor Day?" I paused for a minute and really could not think of a good answer other than its the end of summer. After all, we all know what Veterans Day is and Memorial Day, etc. So I Googled it and came up with this. I never really knew about the true history of the holiday. I must have ditched that day in school :redface:
