Mercury 496 Mag Alternator

I have a 496 mag and it has a 65amp alternator. I dont know, but that sounds kind of weak. My 2004 Ford Expedition has a 110amp from the factory.
You would think that boating and batteries are a never ending battle and the engine mnfr. would beef it up a bit.
I am just always battling to keep them juiced now that I installed decent tunes.
