Damn, I can't see anything that whatever company hosts hotboatpics.com uses....
I have some that Michael fowarded to me a while back. They look really nice. There is an inner trim ring that attaches beneath your speaker that the grill mounts to. NO OUTSIDE MOUNTING HOLES. He has a few models that are very sound friendly, too. CAn't wait to get home to check out the photos!
BF. If his pricing is what he told me they were considering, it's a great value as well :)

I guess some prices may help. Sorry... ;)
6x9 Powdercoat Covers --> $129.99
6.5" Powdercoat Covers ---> $114.99
For polished, add $30/pair
All covers come with custom finished screen, and installation ring with 4 screws per cover.
Thanks again for your interest.

Here is one design I likedhttp://www.***boat.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=5249That's a great looking cover. It doesn't appear that it will blick much sound if at all...Especially around the tweeter area. In fact, I bet a person cound mount a tweeter (from an RCE269 component 6x9 for example) inside that hole. No visible munting screws either... :shift:
These would look great inside TremorTherapy's boat!!!!

The speaker covers from Ron's used to mount like that. The only problem is that you must have access all around the speaker to be able to get to the mounting screws and to run them in.

The tribal 6x9's are sick!
You definitely need some NorCal representation. :wink:

They look very good and should not hurt sound.
Really like the mesh. Top and bottom mount will hurt sales in alot of apps.
Mounting ring is just like the wizards (suck hard) from an installers standpoint.
Not trying to knock them just being honest.(THEY LOOK GREAT)
Dont like the one others sell with outer mounting holes.
I think they should mount like screw through grills.
Are speaker mounting holes not universal enough?(Roz?)
At those prices should be able to offer different offsets.
Or just slot the mounting holes to fit almost any speaker and supply a press-in cover, hiding slot and screws.
Dont get mad Mike you will sell alot of them, could be my opinion is why I am not in the billet grill business.

I like them a lot. I also think you have a very valid point. I spoke to Mike about a way I thought would work really good only involving one or two screws at the most. Maybe he'll consider it in the future.
I also liked Evo22 design a whole bunch....
As far as locations of MFG set screws, my experience has been that they are pretty close to univeral with maybe a little play. Some, like the way MB quart drivers mount, are a little different. Easy to modify though :D

Dan,
Those pictures will come later in the week. The 6.5's are very similar to the 6x9's.
Thanks for everyone's comments. I appreciate all of the positive praises and recommendations. We are always looking for a better way to do things.

Tell me about it. I have 6 pairs of 6.5's and 4 12" subs. I'm also adding 2 more pairs of 6.5" Quarts (16 total). That's why we started this company. I needed to make some for myself, so why not make some for everyone to enjoy:D :cool: :D .
Hopefully our prices are competitive enough to so you are able to put our covers in your boat.

It looks like a Solid Works Drawing! let me guess material cost at $24, plus i estimate at least 40 minutes machine time.
That design looks like you could metal stamp it!

Hey Dave
Just finishing up machining the rest of our subs tomorrow and the billet deck cover will be machined out through the weekend at the shop. We have moved into our new shop in Gilbert and everything is kickin a$$. 9000 sq ft, huge showroom (enough room for 1 powerboat and a tounamnet boat) with a new full CNC lathe on the way. Should be here in 2 weeks.
The trucker chicks came out killer on the subs. The chicks look sweet that big! I try and get some pictures up once I get them back from powdercoat.
Thanks for asking and checkin' up. Getting everything ready for the show season, so you know how that goes.
