Buddy of mine has a new Acura a TL with the Navigation...is there a way you can make it play DVD's...some sort of adapter or way to override the factory settings?

My buddy just bought an A8 Audi and it has some factory deal that will allow it to play DVD's on the nav screen. There is some adapter that they have to get, but I don't know why it couldn't be done.
I guess what I'm saying is if the Germans can do it I see no reason that the Japanese haven't done it years ago. :D

I know that Mike @ automotive entertainment does a lot of our conversions for us. You can also call my shop and talk to Robert, he can get you set up (909)481-8411. Cost varies by car but if you call he can find out the price for you. We have done alot of these on the Benz radios, the H2 radios, The BMW radios. So far we have been able to do any factory radio w/ an lcd.

Evo, that pic listed is the same as my buddy's....what does he need to do to get it working. Is there a placed nearby the 805 or 661 to get it done for a reasonable rate?

Ivan,
here is what is involved is we need to get a composite in to the screen and then a audio source in and then add a DVD player some where in the car as the source you cannot use the nav player as the source:)

I can build a adapter that will switch a component in to a composite out for the video for $275-$300 then you need a audio switcher about a $100 for a good one and then whatever DVD player you want too use??? AND it depends on the car how much labor is involved but I can hook you up

sounds about right.... I think he charges 500.00, plus you need the video source... Same guy I know does a bunch of different cool stuff, like wiring aux sources into factory RollsRoyce headunits enabling the nonuse of an RF mod...

Is there a way to put a switch on my Infiniti G35 stock navigation so I can use it while driving?
So the stock nav DVD won't work to play movie DVD's once you do your modification?
Thanks guys!

My name is Serge. I'm hardly at the shop, usually out doing sales.
You can talk to Armen. Tell him you heard about us on Hot Boat.
We also do all kinds of mobile multimedia. We are one of the only shops that produce our own monitor shrouds for headrests.
Thanks,
Serge

you want the output of the player?
Yep, audio and video. Just need to know where I need to tap in. I'll add an inline amp to boost the signal. I can get it from H4215, but I hear he's pretty busy these days and don't want to other him :)
Yes, these days I'm a lazy mofo... :D
