I was fortunate enough recently to be able to ride in a 36' Nortech Cat that
was about 3 months old with about 1300 hp in each side. You can read about the boat and the ride at: http://www.***boat.com/forums/showthread.php?t=52458
For what it's worth, we drove it mildly into the 140's, had it turning in the 120's, it planes at 22 mph on gps, it went over the tour boat wake at
over 120 mph and I never felt it! It has a little cabin in each sponson,
it's 5 to 7 mph slower than a Skater but rides a bit better!
Great Boat!

He also mentions that it's got 1300hp
engines and has run 172 mph! Of course, I hit him up for the
ride! WOW!
Thats funny I heard that boat didnt run over 152 out in the back waters by Nor-Tech with 1090HP motors, what did he do install smaller pullies and is still running on pump gas, cmon. Whats the real deal. Too many conflicting stories.
With 5 people in the boat and
full tanks of fuel we were regularly hitting the mid 140's mark
and we had 500 rpm left to go.
500 RPM, and around 30 MPH to go, damn those are big props, with some serious negative slip numbers.
Post a pic of the GPS speedo, talks cheap, GPS dont lie.
Jeff
Not bustin your balls, just want to see some proof before I buy this one. Are you sure you didnt over implish just alittle!! ;)

Don't have a clue how fast it really goes. Don't really care. Just going by
what the owner of the boat said. Then with regard to our ride, there was
myself, Candy Adragna--also from Conquest, Wayne Minors boys and Waynes service manager from Sterling Bmw in Newport Beach. We all saw mid 140's
about 3 different runs. There was 2 Gaffrig GPS to look at--one in front and
the other for those in the rear and there was a digital GPS in front of me
in the dashboard. What a ride!
Sad thing is--he got a bad bunch of gas about 3 weeks ago and killed some
pistons. that's gonna hurt!

No big deal, I was just curious as I was told the boat was good for about 152 from the guys down in Florida, that have actually driven it, Before the current owner. Still fast as hell!!!!152 is hauling the mail, and right about right for around 1090HP. Especially on there dyno's over there. They are sweet boats, just the owners are dorks!! LOL (Bling Bling)

RACE GAS, 7 little important letters. Really helps against that detonation. We saw him idiling in at the Scope Poker Run, not good!!!

I was the previous owner and before it left florida it ran 161 on pump gas and 7 lb's of boost. Nobody from Nor-tech has ever driven that boat except for Randy. And yes it did run 152 at the Ft. Myers poker run at 5800 but we only ran to the half way point between the bridges and figured that was enough. :D :D

Here's a number for you......899k...lol
The boat was at the Jax poker run and had a load of people on it all weekend it....The owner lent it to my friend to use while the 36 above was being built (The owner just took delivery of another 50 footer with twin turbines in it...he had to go to South America with it that weekend or both boats would have been in Jax..)...It tops in the mid 140's full of people.....and is a very thirsty beast....
You can see more pics and specs............Here! (http://www.fastboats.com/boatdetail.php?boatid=241)

marina) $1,250.00 to fill er' up............... and how long does that 500gal
last in a "poker-run" type environment-?
shoot, that's more than I can afford to spend on the summer vacation trip.
