I have posted this before but my friend didn't have any pictures of his dog. My friend wants to find a home for his dog. He doesn't have the time for him. He is a 1 year old Chesapeake Bay Retriever. He is not an agressive dog and loves the water. From what I understand, these dogs are very protective. He has been through basic obbedience training and was top of his class. Here are some pictures of him. I know they aren't very good but you can see what he looks like.

If trained properly, those can be awesome dogs - they really love the water too. Do some research before you step up though, they can be a lot of work, and can require a lot of time.

Chesapeakes are nearly identical to chocolate labs. They are a little heavier build, and have curly hair, but those are about the only differences. If the dog has been through training, it's a great deal.
You other Lab owners, I keep telling you, spend the $150 (total) to have a trainer come to your house once a week for a month or 5 weeks. It is so worth the $. You can find a local one in your yellow pages. Your dog wants to please you, help it learn how.

Topless,
do you know if he does ok with other dogs? I have a ten year old female mix and she is the queen of the roost, I would hate to throw her into a tantrum. I may be interested if he is...
thanks,
gjb

LOL :D --she grins when she's happy or done a naughty....I have yet to see her loose her temper, she's a way happy dog(shepard/pit mix)
When we picked her out at the shelter there was a sign on her cage that said "I'm not growling, but smiling to get you to take me home". We didn't get it at first because she didn't smile until we had her home for a few days. :D
