The Gubernator vetoed a try to raise the minimum wage. They were going to try to make it $7.75....I guess the McDonalds workers will be sad and the owners happy.....

If I remember correctly, minimum wage was around $3.75 when I started working.
Can you even imagine working for that???? :jawdrop: :jawdrop:

Way to go Arnold!!!! I get tired of these dipshit's crying the minimum wage is not enough to live on. Uhhh...no shit it is not meant to live on. It's an entry level pay for people with little or no skills just entering the working world. A 16 year old kid flipping burgers at McDonalds is not worth $7.75 an hour.

I disagree, the more money my 17 and 15 year can make the less the will keep reaching into my wallet. So raise that wage.....

ABSOLUTELY!!!!! I'm tired of people with no skills creeping up on my pay and then making the things that I can afford to buy, more expensive. Good Job Arnold.

He's trying to keep his promise to make Ca less hostile to business (esp small business) and slow the flood of businesses and jobs from our state. I'm sure it wasn't an easy move for him and it took some guts, because the leftists out here  are going to demogogue like all he!! over it. :hammer2: ..

I agree! I can barely afford to finish college and even when I do (next year woohoo), I not be making what I should having a college education...
I agree as someone up above said... it is meant for high schoolers to afford gas in their cars, and start a savings account...

are you kidding, it may pay for gas and insurance, however, there still would not be enough money to start a savings acct.
When I was growing up, I was earning 3.75 per hour, part time, and I had to buy my cloths, make-up and lunches at school if I did not want to come home to eat. Any extra stuff like above or music and stuff I had to purchase out of my earnings. Needless to say I did not have much :angry2:
