I can remember in 1976 we were at Powell... and one guy was on two water skis... he let go of the rope and headed to the shore.... only thing... he was going too fast.... we're all screaming "Sit down!" so that he would stop in the water... but he didn't....he hits the sandstone beach probably going about 10 mph... he completely blew out of the skis as they screeched to a halt on the slickrock.... and in about three 10 foot long leaps he found himself standing on the beach unscathed... we were all expecting him to be covered with road rash as he came out of the skis, but he never fell... OMG..... we all wished we had a video camera to capture it at the time.... This guy looked just like "Hyde" on "That 70's show",,,...... :cool:
