I know everybody is starting to dislike the Marina, however every weekend I see boats lined up for fuel, whats up with that. They make twice as much on the fuel than on the launch fees.

Maybe we should post where the other gas docks are for the people who need to buy while on the water. My guess as to the closest fuel dock is across the river at Havasu Landing (the Casino) Can't be more than two miles. Don't know how prices compare, but when you need gas, who cares?

I allways fill up before I put it in the water.. or Topock, but good question people "in the know" share the info, where are other stations on the water in havasu? :coffeycup :D :chi:

Topock, Havasu Landing, Sand Point, Havasu Springs. Plenty of choices - no need to patronize the marina.

Sand point will close in about a week to remodle the gas docks..
some nice peoples let me leave a broken boat there last sunday most of the afternoon till I was able to make it back to pick it up & wouldnt take any $ for tying up dock space all day.. :D

This is a very valid point. Don't patronize the gas docks where they make a killing.....and please write your letters.

Great question...I think most folks on here probably don't buy gas at the LHC Marina gas dock. I almost never buy gas on the water as the cost is SOOO much higher than filling the tanks at the stations on land. For those who have the boat in the water and don't want to pull it out just to get gas (staying at the Nautical or London Bridge Resort or other locations where boat is in the water multiple days - please don't use Marina slips!) you can motor right across the lake to Havasu Landing. Union 76 and in my past experiences CHEAPER than the Marina's gas.

91 octane was $2.699 two weeks ago at my marina at Lake Mead. I'll bet it hits close to $3.00 when I go back Oct 8/9/10...

yet just another reason for keeping my 100gal ag tank in my pickup........
that, and, considering the 6 5-gal cans I bought like 15 years ago have
soooooooo paid for themselves...........
