Can anybody help a brutha out. I'm trying to revive an old computer and am missing 5 of my 25 key unlock numbers.
Can somebody PM a complete set? Windows pro 2000

If you have the CD go to my computer and open the CD file and look for the file called REG KEY. Once you open this the numbers should all be there for you. ;)

Not a trap, somebody gave me an 2000 update - but only wrote down 20 out of 25 key numers. He has since lost the original CD too.
It is not resident on the computer I'm installing it to.

I'm a little confused...how are you going to install it if you don't have the cd?
If you are not installing from a CD how are you "reviving" it???

I'm confused...is it a Windows 2000 Retail, Windows 2000 OEM, or Windows 2000 Upgrade CD?

I am trying to hook up an old computer on a wireless network. The computer has Win95 on it. The wireless card software said windows 2000 minimum, but it loaded under 95, so maybe i won't need it afterall.
The 2000 cd would be used to upgrade from 95 to 2000, but again I don't have the key for the 2000 cd.

Who woulda thought.
I upgraded my 1996 266mhz VAIO computer from Win95 to WindowsPro2000, thanks to Info and his serialz (one of the six worked, thanks again).
Threw in the linksys card and damn, now I have a wireless network! The line moves quick, at about T1 speed, but the pewter has to catch up. At 32 MB of RAM (maxed out) and a 2GB hardrive - the thing just can't keep up with the speed of the cable modem line.
Time to move up to a cheap-ass tower.
And man my cable modem kicks ass these days....3.527 Mbps
