View Full Version : Does anyone know of a place in SoCal to buy a new bimini?

Some friends of mine broke their bimini on the boat when the hatch fell off while towing. (Something was broken on the hatch, they tried tieing it down - but that didn't work :220v: ) Anyway, needless to say, the bimini is bent and no longer stays up by itself. I think they're looking to replace the whole thing, fabric too.
Any recommended shops?
Thanks!

Ditto this. They did my cover a few years back. Good people. I think they do a lot of work for California Correct Craft, or at least used to back in the 90's.

Also, if you are on a budget, Overtons has some killer deals on Sunbrella Biminis. You will have to do some work but it will be about 1/2 the cost.

Thank you everyone, I'll send them the info on all of the shops. They are looking for custom colors (plum, navy & white) for their 21' Warlock LXI, possibly having one made a little longer than the original one.
Thanks again :rollside:

If their boat goes over 35 mph, only one to us is Custom Canvas in Montclair. Ron uses the best hardward, SS bows, canvas or textaline or both, and has a great eye for color. His bimini's hold their shape at speed and won't parachute like so many others. Give him a call 909 981 7179

Adlee, for sure.
If you make an appointment, you can drop off the boat in the AM, Run around town, get some lunch, and pick it up in the afternoon.
They made 2 custom covers for a wake tower (custom made into a light bar) for me in about 3 hours.

Custom Canvas in Montclair is another option. Excellent work and a fellow boater.

Custom Canvas in Montclair. Ron did the bimini on my Schiada. He knows his stuff and only uses the best materials with Stainless Steel tubes & fittings. They are the best. They fit the bimini to the boat and to you in the boat, so your head is not up in a "heated air zone" if under the bimini top when the boat isn't moving. Best money I spent for a little sun protection. I have red-lined the boat with the top up and material holds it's shape and the tubes & fittings did not rattle or loosen up. I have seen bimini tops on one of my friend's boat, completely blew apart running at 65 MPH plus on Lake Mead. It isn't preatty. In fact it's damn scary with the tubes and canvas material flying about. No-one was hit luckly. Custom Canvas made their replacement bimini top. No more problems with their high speed runs.
