Does anyone know where i can find that clear tape that i could install on my trailer, to protect it from road dings, and on the bow of my boat, so I can walk on it without worrying about scratching it up. I saw it last year at the auto show and I think it would work great on a boat and trailer.

By the way, I actually saw that stuff at one of the specialty car customizers like West Coast...it wasn't them, but someone like them. I will see what I can find.

Where do you get the helicopter tape? I am looking for something that I can put on both the trailer and the bow of my boat that will offer an invisible barrier against road dings and foot traffic across the bow. It has to be something that will not discolor or damage the surface of my trailer or boat after I remove it.

Most Window Tinting folks have this product, it's clear mylar and is installed just like window tint. It protects leading edge surfaces from rocks and road debris. My nephew owns a small company called Wicked Ridz and has a hook up for this type of thing. If you like I'll get you in contact with him.

I've used a product on my boat like you are talking about, it was called
" Ricochet ". You should be able to pick it up at a decal and sign shop or some glass shops carry it also. It works great for keeping high traffic areas from gettin scratched to s--t. I dont know how much luck you would have in getting it off though.

You might try Cabela's online. They have "Trailer Guard". Here is a link.
