Ok,, it starts out like this,,, A week ago I'm cruising across Northern Arizona on my Harley heading to a project meeting out on the Hopi Indian Reservation. As I pull into one of the little townships, some lady makes a left hand turn into me and trashes my bike (as well as a few bumps and bruises on me). They load me up into the meat wagon and haul me off. Today, I finally receive a copy of the police report and look for her insurance information (bike repair quote is almost 10k) and listed down for her insurance company she has Black Mesa Trust down as the insurer.
Now I have never heard of this company so I call the lady who hit me and ask her about the insurance company. Come to find out, it ISN'T an insurance company but an affiliate of the Grand Canyon Trust and the Sierra Club (You know,, the drain the lakes crowd) who is attempting to stop water pumping for the coal supplier for the Mohave Generation Plant. and that they don't carry insurance on the vehicle. Since when is a non-profit company exempt from following the laws that the rest of us follow?? (sounds like an Aftershock story I once heard) These companies have large quantities of cash to throw around for advertising but can't afford to insure their organizations vehicles or even pony up to pay for the damage that there staff cause?? (Yes she was cited). Something just ain't right.....

**** them...sue the organization. I just settled a lawsuit with a trucking company that ran my Harley off the road. Took a little fight but I came out OK. Your insurance company will take care of it for you but I would get an attorney right away. One that specialises in motorcycle accident. Better go get some pics of the crash site also. For your atty and you NOT for the idiot who pulled out in front of you...The more documentation the better at this point.

Sometimes companies like this, file certificate of bond, That means they self insure themselves. This might be the case here.
Anyways GO AFTER THEIR ASSES, I hate people like this, LEFT TURNERS and these type of ORGANIZATIONS.....

Good luck to ya and keep us posted

I'm doing fine,, a bit sore still,, but surviving. The way I look at it is for every dollar that I take from them, that's one less they can use to drain these lakes... In all reality, I would be content just to recover the medical bills and get the bike repaired.

Hope you get back on your feet soon! Just cann't avoid all the 'maniacs' on the roads. Let your "mouthpiece" take care of 'things' and RELAX. When you do get the 'Big Check', I've got a nice 32' Fountain that I'll give a smokin' deal on. Good to hear that you have a 'clear mind' in this matter, and not the type to BLOW UP on the other driver. "A mistake was made, you should be paid".

I'm not a big proponent of hiring lawyers, but I'd be a sueing the pants (so to speak) off of our Black Mesa Trust little friends and their fellow followers.
Either that or take matters into your own hands and hire a few goons.

Glad to hear you are OK. If you need Goons or a Lawyer we have them in town. We also have a Judge that can hear the case. As for a doctor to hook you up in the wheel chair and cast and neck brace I haven't seen one on the roster yet. Make sure who ever does the repairs on your bike does what you want. and now is the time to make any changes that you wish that you did in the beginning. Parts are already going to be re chromed or polished and paint is going on anyways. Some times it is cheaper to buy a new part and pay the diference if you have to. Good Luck.

Many activist groups believe they are above the law when it comes to thier financial commitments to the non believers...Sue 'em and get what you deserve...

I hope you do just what you say, have them take care of what they should take care of. All of this sueing to try and get every penny you can out of them is what as got this country where it is today. Especially when it comes to ins. companies, medical, etc.
