The Problem With Bacon

You aint kiddin. Every weekend at the river, I pull out my old cast Iron pot, put the bacon in all messed up, put the lid on and stir occasionally. Screw the flat bacon. One or Two pounds in the pot at once cooks just fine

Well, I'm within 130 miles, but that is a four hour commute each way most days... so I stay here...
But I'm home weekends! :D
I have been practicing with my sheet music here in the hotel for the big oldies show we were supposed to play in Sacramento at Raley Field (AAA baseball stadium). It got cancelled because of poor ticket sales (doesn't surprise me the headliner was Davy Jones of the Monkeys). But it would have been fun playing as the band for the likes of Spiral Staircase and The Hollies

Yeah, I think I was about the same age... maybe a year older? I have a lot of fun doing that and I was afraid it was all over with that band (I have been with that band as the only bass player since 1998) after having to work down south.
They welcomed me back when I came home, and have been pretty darn understanding since I have to be here in the bay. So they played more shows in the time I was in so cal than the entire 6 years I was with them prior to that. Including two other oldies shows like this one where they played to a crowd of about 6 or 7 thousand. Not to mention the State Fair that we have been trying to play at since day one...
