These carts are a deal. I have no clue how anyone can turn a profit on tricking out carts.
I wish I would have let Toby trick mine out with all the goodies & do a custom paint job before I bought it. I've got over 4K into it so far, and it still needs batteries, paint, motor, controller....the list goes on.
Before you know it, you have about 7k into a cart that is worth $4500.00 You need to sell a lot of carts to make a profit doing it that way.

For us dumb folks that do not know much about golf carts, but would like to have one. Can you give a little more detail about them ie. how long does a charge last, differences in volts or is gas vs electric, how fast..
Thanks..

I'm looking for a junker to stretch and put my polaris motor and drive train on.
Well It aint a total junker but I may be lookin to off my 48v EZ go .... it has a purple body, lift kit and nice rims and tires already.... When we sold our Riverhouse I gave it to my neighbor to store and use at his convenience and he called me a while back to tell me it's got some electric motor issues.... I'm assuming the motor cause it has 6 brand new batteries in it!
Anyways if interested PM with an idea on what you want to spend for a lifted body with wheels, this is the only pic I have of it sorry it's not a lil more focused on the "cart" .... Also, The Top is Gone since this picture was taken

Slowman,
A charge on an electric cart can last all weekend, or it can last one day. It depends on how much you drive it. EZ-GO carts are 36 Volts, however, you can change them over to 48 volts. You'll need a different charger and maybe a new controller. Right now I have an 01 EZ-GO gas and electric in stock condition. The electric has a better top speed. You can play with the governer on the gas to make it go faster. You can buy different motors and controllers for the electric carts to make them faster. The nice thing about gas carts is you don't have to charge them, just add gas. The nice thing about electric carts is you don't have to mess with gas and they're quiet. It's kind of a personal preference. Hope this helps.
