powell or mead?

some friends want to go on a houseboat vacation so i figured this would be a great place to ask for some info. on the subject.
does anyone have any info. on certain companies to go through?

If you don't mind spending the extra $1000, Lake Powell is like no other lake.
Lake Mead is awesome and uncrowded.
Lake Mohave is nice during the week :D

Search for something on Antelope Point Marina on Powell. They are new and have new houseboats for rent. Hot tubs, wet bars, extra bedrooms ect. The boats coming out of Wahweap are good too but the newer ones are most likely already sold out.

This boat was actually built in Flagstaff by the owner. The guy pilots it for you sets it up and will leave or party with you. what ever you want. The boat is insane inside. 3 stories.

Powell is great. The extra cost can be prohibitive. Mead is a great lake aswell. Especially Gregg Basin. Awesome water. Our latest houseboat trip was Lake Shasta. We are headed back in August.

Well, my opinion may be a bit jaded,, but I have to go with Powell on this one. If we can get something together before Memorial Day,, who knows,, we might just throw another houseboat into the fray,, maybe we can get a few of these other folks to attend this time..... :idea: :D
