At 19 you're probably the perfect age for this type of work.
Since the crane pumpers operate by remote control, all those hours spent on Nintendo will pay finally off. :)

But at your age, 2 or 3 hours of sleep & you should be able to go all day. :D

I ran boom pumps for around 10 years in the socal area..its tough bro. wake up at 2:30 or 3 every morning and get home around 7 or 8 every night. Only to make around 70grand. Thats not bad money for someone young but....kiss your night life good bye.
Get into the peagravel pumping biz, if any. Its more physical but you get the hang of it real quick and its no big deal. Do a good job for everyone and get known. Then you break out 30g and go into biz for yourself. You can pull 80k a year, easy, with one trailer pump.....if your good. I give my peagravel pumpers about 150k a year. Ill hook you up with some work when your ready....just make sure your ready. Pumping and greenhorns dont mix, at all.

I have a pump company that still runs in San Diego. I am also going to start one out here in spring. Your north so all I could do is help you get in with Olin Pumps..they make the best pumps around. Dave is very good friend of mine. 19 is a good age to start too. Buying the pump is the easy part....working it is tough sometimes. Sometimes its best to go to work for a company for a year...get the training...then step out on your own. I ran a pump for 15 years during the day and at night played with my wife...ok...music...like in a band...your minds in the gutter..should I post pic??? back on subject...i got burnt out..oh to be 19 again.....
