BTW I bought one of those Radio Shack db meters, if it works out, I will keep it at a business in LHC for all Forum members to use (if they promise to return it in working order :rolleyes: ).

I just rolled in from LHC. It was beautifull out there, mid to high 70's. Not many boater's, and not many snowbirds. The perfect time of year....tweeners! :D Have fun, and I hope your muffler install goes smoothly.

Thought I'd give Rex a try. I will post my results as soon as I get back. I hope to prove Boatcop wrong about a 3db increase with the second motor. We are praying for 0 to 1db. Yeah Right!

3db will be correct. 3db = 2 x the energy. 2 motors = 2 x sound or 3db. All of this assumes that the meter is the same distance from all 4 exhaust ports. Not likely, so your readings will likely be less but should be pretty close.
