What is everyone doing for Turkey day?

We are going up into the BlackRock desert and circling the motorhomes firing up the outside heaters under the awnings and riding ATV's, motorcycles etc... It will be cold but fun. Anyone want to join feel free. I am sure we will be one of the few if not the only ones out there.

My mom's Italian so we're having a 4 course dinner at 2 followed by $2 buy-in BINGO with a $20 coverall at the end then turkey sandwiches around 8.
There are 5 different pies from Costco and homeade Italian pastries so it will be off to the gym on friday. :p

Hey, we are doing the same thing! Its a toss up between Dumont and Ocotillo. But we have never been to Ocotillo. Got any tips?
We go to Ocotillo all the time - but never on holidays. It's too dangerous, lot of people and the white fender boys are out in full strength - not a good place for the kids to ride on holidays.
On holidays we camp on what used to be a golf course in the 60's, near S-22, now reverted back to sand. You can go to Ocotillo Wells from there and ride a lot of the same trails, but then you can leave and get away from the crazies, (and away from the dust ball).
If you are a first timer at Ocotillo Wells, I would enter north off of the 78 on any number of roads - you can set up from there. Cahuilla Road might be a good place to start for someone who hasn't been there (and if you are self-contained). If you need to use the state's toilets and want picnic tables, try Main Street or Holme's Camp. The rangers have good maps of the area - if you PM an address, I'll send you one.

PM me if you want, I spend a lot of time in Ocotillo and have a lot of suggestions. Didnt you guys just get a little trailer?
Theres a killer campground with hookups there across from the Iron Door if you want to do that or I know a couple killer places for dry camping. A ride to the Iron Door is just what you guys need. Its an old bar and everybody hangs up dollar bills that you right on and leave there forever. I actually proposed to Shawna at that place by writing it on a bunch of dollars and hanging them in front of where she was sitting at the bar. There is some killer riding out there!
I kind of thought you guys would be at Topock at Kevins place but I guess not. I'd invite you guys out to our place but we're leaving on Friday, We're going out there tuesday morning but we have to leave for Pheonix on Friday morning for a F'n wedding. So we'll be riding around Topock for a couple days.

If not on the water Friday afternoon I'll be out runnin it as hard as the 4.3 V6 will allow Saturday but hoping both fri and sat will be water days. Maybe I should try and launch at the marina and see if they come over with the DB meter. My boat probably reads all of 60db.
