I'm insuring my first custom boat and want to see if my quoate from AAA is reasonable.
21' Shockwave Skier/jet
502 cc
415 hp
I do have a recent accident that was my fault. No injuries.
They quoated me $839 for the year with $500,000 limits and full replacement value of the cost of the boat.
What do you guys think? And if it is too high, can you recommend someone?
Thanks
J

I had AAA for years, $560.00 per year. '95 23' Eliminator 454. $300,000.00 property/injury.
Had trouble with them every year for renewing, HUGE problem last year.
Now I'm with progressive, $590.00 per year $500,000.00 CSL, $0.00 deductable on agreed replacement value, $5000.00 personal effects. (audio equipment, etc.)
Very good customer service.
No tickets or accidents.

I'm 720 a year with Progressive and I just turned 25 today. I think it's pretty cheap for my age. Go directly with them though. If you go through a broker it will cost you and extra couple hundred in commissions. Another plus of Progressive is that you get free Roadside assistance with them and it covers your boat trailer. They came out and in the middle of the night to fix a blow out on my trailer when AAA wouldn't because I didn't have the RV packaged added to my account.

Thanks for responding.
It seems like the quoate is a little high. I'll try to negotiate it down. I did the online quoate with progressive and the rate came out to 906 a year.
I think the recent crash is a big factor.
Thanks for your help.

I use Allstate and pay a little less than this for an '03 22' Laser.
