Most of my rep came attached to posts in which I conducted myself like an ass. Seriously, it was clear that the harder I threw it down, the more people seemed to like it. In my case, I guess they were 'asshole' points.
... so at the end of the day, there were all kinds of problems but people like Debbolas, Rexone, Topless, FRENCIE, and lots of other deserving people ended up at the top of the rep list, as they should have.
I received many PMs from people who had received negative rep that was signed with my name, yet in almost every case, they knew it wasn't me. It was flattering that they knew I wouldn't do that and always gave them green for being so cool. :)
Only two people that I know of were fooled by the sniper and in both cases, they sent me a ton of positive once they knew it wasn't me. I was always able to hit way harder with positive than the sniper was able to knock down with negative so the sniping was basically a waste of time... except for me because I made a few new friends because of it.
I would suggest that, at least for me, the rep system was a positive experience. :cool:

I think I can ditto that...especially when I posted about losing my dog...you guys totally loaded me up with points...very unexpected, and very much appreciated. I probably got more pos. than I deserved, but tried to repay every one. The CS's that gave red without signing didn't bother me...they have to live in their CS skin. I think it got taken a little too seriously by some.
