Well we went out to the Black Rock Desert for a couple days. We knew it would be cold so we were ready but we had all the elements. Rain, wind, sun and snow. We all ended up eating in one motorhome instead of outside like we planned but what a blast. Good times are what we had. Full moon on the playa was a blast. Deep fried turkeys were awesome. Hope everyone else had as much fun as we did.

Very cool pics! I fried 2 turkeys myself. I bough the new electric turkey frier and it worked great with almost no mess. didn't have to wory about blowin up the house either. looks like you guys had a great time!

We were teasing my brothers friend that was with us because he just got back from Afghanistan. Pretty much looked the same there, barren, cold. We just had more beer. :D

I'm definately not in Kansas anymore. Currently 11 timezones from Tacoma. Should be home in mid-January, but will be too cold there to take the boat out. 80's high/60's low here this week. Every day I get up, walk outside into the warm sunshine and all I can think is "Damn boat would be worthless here!!!" :mad: PERFECT boating weather but no water anywhere near.

Congratulations on retirment, hope it is good to you. I heard the water was everywere today, 12-24" in Nebraska, and Reno airport shut down for snow. Hopefully the lakes will fill this year. I have just over 23 years in now, so could retire if I wanted, but I am still enjoying it too much right now. HYT in Dec 07.
