Looking for info on Cole

A friend is looking at a 280S, you folks have any input on the quality of this boat? Is it an original Cole mold or based on another boat? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

The company is no longer open for business. There are rumors here and there that will come back but nothing concrete. As for their quality, I would rank them with the best of the west. Cole boats are put together very well, solid gel coats and built to take the lake, and too bad they are not still around.

I just received a phone call from a friend who said that the 250 & 280 molds have been purchased by Force.
I do believe my friend was looking at the one in Valencia - do you have info on it?
I found an old ***boat article on one doing a google search - they said good things - he is more interested if the boats stay together, ie ratlles, cracking etc.

The boat will never rattle or crack....that one in Valencia is very clean, and has been for sale for over a year. Stock 502 with headers I believe...he has dropped the price more than a couple of times and most likely has a bit of room for your buddy to make an offer and pick it. The owner is a member here but I haven't seen him in a while and can't think of his user name off hand....
