I hurt my back this morning and can barely move!!! :yuk: :yuk:
so i guess i have to just lay back and work on my post count.
By the way, do pain pills expire? I have some vicodins that are about a year old. Would you take them?

Take em Take em!!! Actually there is an expiration date at the bottom of the bottle but they don't really get bad, just less potent so take more if needed.

I'd take about 800mgs of Ibuprofin (Advil or Motrin). It's an anti-inflamatory rather than just pain med. Most back problems (the pain part) is caused by muscles reacting to a bad event and spasming up (hence the pain). Advil and alternate heat and ice usually help (me anyway).

That is some good advice, take about 800 IBU and you should be feeling a lot better.

Take about 800mg of Advil or Ibuprofin every 4-6 hours first 24 hours and then adjust based on pain...and then put ice on the affected part of the back for at least 12-16 hours before applying any heat, and then alternate heat and cold every couple hours....the cold will help relieve the swelling and the pain in the first day...the inflammation is what is causing the most pain a couple of hours after the pull....bring down the swelling with ice the first day, take advil to help with pain, and then on the second day alternate cold/heat. Don't put heat on in the first 24 hours...it just aggrivates the inflammation and causes more pain.

I dunno, unless it hurts really bad I'd try the ibuprofin first.
