If thats authentic that is incredible. Anything about the Titanic has always facinated me.
OK, dont laugh but I always wanted to be the one to find the Titanic when I was a kid...I used to tell my mom I was going to go "look for it" and even in to High School I was drawn to Oceanography and the research.
I was happy (and disappointed at the same time when they found it ;) )

Thats some serious scratch :D for a plate. I watched something on how there is some unauthorized salvage taking place at the site and its f'n up the remains of the ship

I have always been fascinated by the Titantic. Not the stupid movie but the real deal.
Not enough to fork over that much moola for a plate though. :shift:

I saw that guy on the news...he's homeless and carries the plate around in his napsack.
I guess they have verified it was MADE for the Titanic, but cannot verify whether or not it was actually on it.
He seemed to think he was getting $1 mill for it....you think he's gonna let it go for so cheap?
Wish I had the damn thing!!!

I saw it on the news too. Apparently his Great Aunt put it in her purse (ripped it off) from the Titanic as a souvenier. Then they told her to go hop in a life boat cause the ship was sinking. The plate has been passed down from one generation to the next. Sounds like the guy could use the money!!! Not sure it's a wise thing to be carrying it around in a napsack!

No wonder you and Misty get a long. Her first degree is in Marine Biology. :D
Probably a couple Million you could have a complete setting for 8.
