Has anybody out there in ***boatland used Westers or PCM For Less to have your truck or car computer reprogrammed? If so, how much of a difference is there from stock to the new tune? Is it worth it?

from what i have read is that people do feel some improvement all around esp since it disables the torque management.I also have the 6.0 but for my use i think it does an awesome job(towing a 18ft toyhauler i load it heavy too for the trip out, and a 21ft boat)I can maintain 70 easily and have passing power
look up on
pickuptruck.com for some info or gm-trucks.com

HH posted a link on the results I had with Westers on my 8.1l. I actually documented each modification with a chassis dyno flog to identify how each mod affected.
The Westers tune was by far the best mod I made to the car. I picked up over 1 MPG and over 50 HP and 60+ ft lbs. Driveability improvement is accross the board. The improvement is not just a peak HP, the improvement is pretty flat. I had an extra 40 HP at 2,500 RPM all the way up to 5,000.
When you talk to Lyndon Wester remind him that you are in California where the best fuel is 91 octane. His "hot" tune is set for 93 octane. The Hypertech was crap by comparison...
Lyndon was great to work with and the computer went in and the motor fired immediately. I did not have ANY problems.
Good luck!

Thanks for the input. Looks like I'll be giving Lyndon a call real soon to wake up this dog engine. Thanks again.
