don't get me wrong, I don't enjoy them, but between them and a roller coaster, I would rather have a few small-mid size quakes.

Those quakes look like they were centered right under my house. We live between the 60 and 10 frwys, and just east of the 15!!! We felt them real hard. Quick hard jolt!! No damage though. Good thing. I hope they are not fore shocks!!

We are just south of Jurupa on the corner of Marlay and Mulberry in the first section of Southridge that was built. The ones with the large lots. We have 3/4 acres. I see from that map above, that there is a fault running right under both of us.!!!! Are you in the newer complexes over there by Sierra?

Just west of Sierra, between cypress & Citrus. We are very close indeed. It's funny what a small world this is....that makes two people that live less than a mile from me and mr.
We should get together and have a bbq

OH, if you who live in the area of Hunters Ridge only knew about the earthquake history and potential of that area :jawdrop: In the early 1900's a mag 7+ hit Lytle Creek. If you look carefully you will see large boulders that were on the slip line split and the halfs are about 50 feet apart.
There is a dirt road that leads up from the area of summit that Caltech built and uses for their faultline sensors. WHY THERE - Cause there is a big, active fault right there! But the geologists say its ok to build there as long as you are on the west of the fault - HUH?
Glad I don't live there - Hope you all will be safe

The quake was about a mile north of Fontana City Hall and only 3 miles deep, and as LHC pointed out we live where there are a few faults that come together. Go up the Cajon Pass and you can see the ground action thats been going on for a loong time, you live out here and you have to be aware and expect these things, an annoyance yeah, but they do get your heart going ballistic early in the morning  .

I live in Hunter's Ridge, and yes, they told us about the fault line before we bought the house. Hopefully we will move out of this area before the big one hits. If it does it, we'll hold on tight.
