Are there any Ford or Chevy dealers that do lift kits as part of the dealer options. How would you rate these as opposed to aftermarket shops doing the work. I would like to roll the whole deal into the loan if possible and not have to pay cash for lift, etc.
Thanks for the input! :)

The dealers farm out the work to the little guys to do,at least all of the dealers i know of do.dont worry about the quality of the job done but worry about paying interest on a lift kit for the entire time your paying for the truck. Not the best way to do it unless thats your only option.

The 05 Fords ride way better than the 04's,and the chevys are really nice too.
If you want to find out whats coming up in the future, you'll find out more on the internet than the show, trust me there.

Galpin Ford.........customizes alot of their trucks, including lifts. Instead of calling their trucks customized, they call em Galpinized. The nice thing is they will warranty alot/most of work if you buy it Galpinized. But you are paying a large markup on the custom work. There's room to negotiate but not much since they know most people prefer to buy the truck already done.
Good luck

I just bought a super duty at fairway ford, and right next door they have Fairway RV and performance shop, they are scheduled to do my lift as part of the deal worked on the truck. I have a due bill for the work to be completed, I just need to make up my mind on what I want for sure. I just need to figure what kit is best for me, and how high, and what size tires to run, I really dont want to hurt performance. If you go the Ford route than Jim at fairway is pretty cool to tak to.Good luck

So true, Buy it from them and it is all warranty and you can buy an extended warranty on it also.
We had our 02 supercrew F150 lowered by them and drove better than stock and it was under WARRANTY....

I know that Ford of Orange goes to Donahoe for all of their lift kits. If I remember correctly, they will only do a 4.5" lift due to the warranty. Not sure. I know when I was looking for my truck, I went there and they told me that they were able to lift it for me and be responsible for the warranty. Didn't get it there and got a killer deal on my lift kit from FastTimmy. Worked out best for me.

Hi all, thanks for the responses. I was busy yesterday (party) and today (I'll explain in a moment).
I took a test drive in Raff's F250 4x4 powerstroke during my party yesterday and fell in love instantly. So, thats what I was busy doing today.
Got an 05 4x4 F250 SD crewcab short bed powerstroke with the Lariat package.
Wedgewood blue to match the boat.
Got it loaded with Lojack and 100,000mi warranty and 12 inch widescreen DVD/TV for the kids in back for 43,000 + dvd (1399). BUT Galpin would not do the lift anymore (used to). They recommended a place and I will check it out. It will not affect warranty if under either 4.5 or 6, not clear which (my dealer said 6, Raff says 4.5). Either should let me drop on 35's so I will be happy.
I'm in love already.
Sorry Photoglou..... This is my first FORD and I love it already.
Thanks again all!!

For the lift, talk to FastTimmy. I have the '04 F-250 4x4 and I went with their 6" on 37's. I have been told that since I did not go over 6" it did not void my warranty. I would check with your dealer first just to double check.

FastTimmy works for Donahoe Racing who manufacturers the lift. As far as I know, they have everything in stock for their lift kits. They are in Anaheim, off of the 91 between the 55 and 57. They manufacturer the lifts and sell them to their distributors. For the install, I would highly recommend JW Fabrication in Fullerton. I sent it to them and it turned out awesome! I am extremely happy with the job they did.
The wheels I have on my truck are the Weld Racing "Mountain Crushers." The tires are BF Goodrich Mud Terrains and are 37x12.5x17. I wish I would have gone with the 13.5's instead of the 12.5's, but I already had the tires. As for pricing, talk to FastTimmy. The price I got was untouchable. I did my research and it was BY FAR the best deal that I could have received.

Not sure if I want to go with the 4.5 in and 35's or the 3in leveling kit an 33's a little worried about the power loss on the v10 running 35's. Any thoughts

I would also look into the Walker Evans rims. They are kick ass! I wish I would have known about them before I bought mine. If you are going with a 6" lift, I would recommend 37 x 13.5 x rim size. If you are going to go smaller, I would go with the 35 x 12.5 x rim size.
Check out Donahoe Racing (http://www.donahoeracing.com) and go to their galleries. There are a lot of people on there that have different size lifts that they show as well as tire sizes.
