I just got a quote from alternative insurance in corona for my new 500efi whippled laveycraft deck valued at $130.000. They quoted $1620.00 a year with full replacement value for 5 years and declining deductable after each year if you dont have any claims, so far alot better than Markel that wanted $4121.00. Thats a killer quote for a whippled 500efi.

DO NOT use Markel. They f'ing suck. Had them and they screwed some shit up for me, and boy was it a pain in the ass to fix. To long of a story to go into details. They wouldn't insure me on Mead or Powell either. It may have been because it was a 21 footer. Screw them.

Im not sure if they insure cats. The lavey deck is not a cat bottom, they are a trihull bottom so the insurance is alot cheaper, that was the problem i was having with other insurance companys was they keep saying it was a cat bottom. The lavey deck is new to the market and i guess the keep saying cat bottom and not knowing enough about them. i called shawna and told here what was up and she had alternative call me and got it straighten out.

The search continues. Paying about 2450.00 can anybody beat that. 25 Daytona approx 575 H.P. Only exclusion is no ocean runs. Any ideas other than paying it off and takeing the risk of no insurance.

Daytona100, I also have a 25 Daytona (502). I pay a little under $1000.00 a year. Everybody told me i could'nt get insured. I got the hook up with State Farm, talk to Tony Freeman @ 951-280-3516. He's in Corona. I hope this helps you out... good luck.

Yeah , Martinez of Norco hooked it up with full interior... I even got a engine cover  . I' m working on the engine right now. Either going with the Procharger or blower. Also putting some color on it. Busy winter.

Yeah, It will be done by the end of May. I have a friend that works (mechanic) at a local boat shop. He's doing all the work on the side... he even comes to my house to work on it :)

That sounds like a great deal. Heck a $200,000 Sea Ray cruiser would be about that much.
