I would like to know if anyone knows where I can get the palm leaves that are braided for an already exisiting structure. Also, how long do they last? I am building the frame this weekend.
Thanks

Greetings. They're called Palapa's. There's an ebay store that carries rolls of this stuff. Take a look and provide some pics when you're done. Have fun!

I will let you trim my Mexican Fan palm trees. Then you can layer those on for free.

This is mine and I got 3 years out of it. I am in need of more big time. The darn wind, sun, and birds have their way with it for sure. I would never use anything else though. The mood gets fun and crazy too easily. I got it from www.palapakings.com but would love some cheaper names. You have to do at least two layers for sure so keep that in mind. Just my material was $3000. OUCH!! I think prices have gone up too. Oh ya, I put a motorhome cover in the middle of the two layers that was made out of Sunbrella to keep it dry. That worked great to the tune of $1100. FYW BadAss PM me if you see this and sell this.
