View Full Version : Asking a favor from everyone...

My brother, Skeepwerkzaz has recently started a kick ass custom shop in Mesa Arizona. He has built a couple of really nice cars, and is in the process of making a killer name for himself out there. His first creation as OPM Customs, a 1967 Camaro for Dale Lee just won the Goodguys shootout in AZ last month or so and as such it became the southwest qualifier for their national champion prize. There are lots of nice cars on this deal, but they are not all owned or built by Hot Boaters!
So, if you don't mind, I would consider it a favor if you would all go and hit up the website at https://www.good-guys.com/homebuilt/homebuilt.asp and just brute them with the votes for the #3 car, owned by Dale Lee.
I would really like to see him win the whole thing, and I have a difficult time believing that with the support of the Hot Boat crowd anyone else would stand a chance... ;)
Thanks folks. The car deserves a win. It is completely cherry. I will see if I can get him to come on here and post a pic or two of the photo shoot they just took for Super Chevy/ Hot Rod mag.
Congrats Clay!!!

I am glad I seen this. My father has a 1968 Camero that he he still has the window sticker for. I think he paid somewhere around 3000 for the car. I would love to have it completely restored for him as a retirement gift. If your brother puts as much thought and care in his cars as you do in your boats, I might just have to pay him a visit. ;)

Hey everyone,
First things first....Thanks for the support. Here are some pics from the photo shoot with Super Chevy, I just got the green light to post them. Look for us in the May issue. Secondly, we had to enter "Homebuilt Heaven" because we built it in the garage, where we started OPM Customs. We weren't "professionals" until we got a business addy that wasn't a home. Lastly, her name is Leona, and she is wicked. ;) (the car that is)

Not bashing, that's a B-17, "Sentimental Journey" outta Falcon Field Airport in Mesa, AZ. The Confederate Air Force owns it and restores her and keeps her running.
I actually have 12 1/2 minutes of stick time in that plane. Right seat, mind you, but I couldn't turn it down. A maintenance flight around the valley, a cruise over the northern lakes and they asked a few controllers if they wanted to go. I beat a few people down and miraculously landed at the front of the line. Stick time in a B-17 at around 26 years old!!! Plenty of people would kill for that. Way cool! :)

He built it in his garage for someone. No shop yet. In addition, he has a lot of "sweat equity" in the car as it is his first creation and is setting the tone for more to come.
Car just appraised BTW by the Barrett-Jackson guys for $68,500. This will be junior varsity compared to what he comes up with in his new shop.
