Thought it would be interesting to take my Handheld on the plane when I flew to Salt Lake City over Christmas. Didn't think it would read that high. :crossx:

has anyone tried the gps plugin for the laptop... comes with the mapping software....

Yep I got that also. Kids never ask "How much longer" anymore. I think Best Buy has the Delorme package for around a 100 bucks.

Yep I just bought the Garmin GPS 18 for my laptop, works pretty damn good so far ! Staples had the best price at $129. It comes with the "nRoute" software that gives you verbal directions, and the sreet map software for all of the United States. The little 3" flat round antenna mounts to the roof or windshield, and plugs into the laptop USB port.
