The verdict here is he saw his shadow ... so 6 more weeks of winter. I was just reading that other places other groundhogs did not see a shadow. How about where you are? :idea:

Well, since we're doing trivia now, from the IMDB website:
On the DVD Harold Ramis states that the original idea was for him to live February 2nd for about 10,000 years. Later he says that Phil probably lived the same day for about 10 years.
Phil was shown in the same day 34 times during the movie. :D
One of my favorites as well.
Not bad for a quadruped. :D
