If you meet all the criteria, you probably can't afford that thing. If you can, you would have to lock yourself inside it 24/7.

Hmmm, wonder what the lease payment would be???It's funny, the M-B site has a lease/financing calculator that seems to include every model EXCEPT the McClaren SLR. I guess it's one of those, "if you're trying to figure out payments for this bad boy, you're shopping for the wrong car" kind of things. :)

I think there is two versions of the car. The high dollar one from McClaren and has a carbon fiber body along with a little more HP.

Anybody know how a V-8 can have 36 valves? (36/8=4.5 valves per cylinder. :) I must be missing something.)

Must be a typo in their brochure. I just copied and pasted from here.
http://www.mbusa.com/brand/container.jsp?/models/features/specs/overview_engine.jsp&modelCode=SLR&class=05_SLR&spec=0&menu=2_0
Since they can’t get the brochure right how can I be sure they know how to build a car that won't breakdown? I dont think I will buy one now. :D

the test reports on that Mclaren are that it is overly sensitive with its steering and steering components. Something about it wanting to create its own course rapidly and without warning whenever it encounters rough road or roads that are a little uneven etc. I'd still take one without crying too much though. For $500k I could get a year's worth of lap-dances also...
