Life raft question

I was checking into getting a small life raft to carry in the boat so i called winslow and the 6 person offshore one is $2700. :(
That is a lot of money unless you need it and then it worth a lot more. just hard to justify spending that kind of money.
One of the guys who works for me then asked. so how much did you spend on the stereo and intercom. F in smartass, so does anone have a hookup on life rafts?
Since i do run in the ocean once in awhile it would not be a bad idea. even though i try to run with other boats there have been times that i have ended up in the open water by myself.

Your employeee does raise a valid point, though.. Can't use a subwoofer as a flotation device should things go wrong :D
I'd try checking out some of the yacht or sailing clubs.. you might find a good deal there...

No thats why i bought lifeline vests for everyone which was more than the raft. I was just hoping someone here had connection so i did not have to pay retail for the raft.

No but it should have with the way it was built. Refer back to Force 26 and ask him what happens when your transom fills up with fuel.

Don't forget the EPIRB. I'd get one of those before a raft. Good thing it isn't an either/or choice.
Will you get an insurance discount if you have one? That may offset the price a little.
