Have your ever thought about adjusting your witholdings so you can have some more monthly income instead of giving the government a free loan for the year. I mean, that's about $500 a month of additional income after taxes.

They haven't finished mine yet. My wife does our biz taxes with the lady she works for 3 months a year. ( were last ) I hope a hell of a lot better then a buddy of mine. He owes after his estimated quarterly's he paid this year another 100k. SH*T. I'd take the year off if he gave that to me.

I'm getting back 4.5k. Thats all the lying I could come up with this year. usually get a couple k more out of them. I'd rather get a chunk back at tax time then to get it monthly. If I get it monthly the wife will find something to spend on monthly.

I agree with that concept, I am taking 8 deductions now, how many do I go to 12? That is a little scary to me. I do get some frequent flyer miles from using the plastic and the interest rates are only @2.9%. Also, getting a big return motivates me to file the taxes quicker and get it over with.
OH WAIT, now that my wife started working, OH, I hope I don't get screwed or I will have to borrow some of that Astro Lube. :220v:
When you owe, you better just file that extension.

It's hard to answer your questions without looking at your return and your paystubs. Your tax advisor (any good tax advisor for that matter) should be able to make a tax projection for 2005 based on your income and witholdings.

Like Shotkallin, if my wife saw the money each month it would be spent on "stuff we really need." Instead I'm getting back 8k and will spend it on having the house painted, and property taxes that are due in April. By the way any referrals for a good painter in OC?

I think the Wives all went to the same school on this. "Extra" money doesn't sit around long.
