Just making sure it's not the new v2 version... How much power are you throwing to it?

they are not the new ones.
I have two 10's might through in a twelve later
power has not been purchace yet
I want to know if they are single or dual voice and what would I get with different wiring config. and different style boxes
I do have a kicker kx300.4 amp.

http://mobile.jlaudio.com/pdfs/8-12W6_BDS.pdf.
I seem to recall that they can handle up to 300w but 250w if better for longer life of the woofer.
Box size is minimal which makes them a great speaker for boats. I have 1 10W6 in my boat powered by 150watts, it honestly needs more power.

The RMS on that speaker is 300 watts, but is known to handle much more
SG, The link is to JL's PDF on that speaker. If your computer can't read it, The measurements are as follows:
Sealed enclosure is .625 cubic feet
Ported is 1 cubic foot with a 3" port(insode of tube measurement) x 18.5 " long... You can do a slot port instead if you like...
Also , remember that this speaker has 2 6ohm voicecoils, so parallel the voicecoils to achieve a 3ohm load...

Thanks guys anyone have connections on a box for two tens ported or slotted
What is parrarel exactly wiring
I believe it to be wire amp to speaker the wire speaker to other speaker
What is it called when you wire both sides of the speaker from the amp or two amps

Parallel is when you connect the positives on voicecoils or speakers together and the negatives on speaker voicecoils together..
Parallel
[amp]+ --------- + left speaker ------------ + right speaker
_ ---------- _ left speaker ------------ _ tight speaker
Series:
[amp] + ---------- + left speaker ---------- _ right speaker
_ ---------- _ left speaker ----------- + right speaker
Series daisy chains between + and - connections, while the parallel connections are all with the same, ie + to + and - to - ...
hope this helps
