Don't know if any model is better then the next, but the bigger the better.

I like the big soft ones that you can blow up with a needle like a sports ball. White is best if you have a white boat and don't want noticeable marks. I couldn't agree more on the largest practical size is best comment.

At the Bluewater Marina, the method is the key.
Other than that;
Bigger is better.
Danny Badblown proved to me flat is best.
I use a combo of both.

I personally use these, the reason being is that when you are done you pull the plug and let the air out so they take up less room in the boat...

Also depends on the boat. The back corners of my boat are under water while at rest, so i have to use the bent "bass boat" fenders. Can probably use a regular fender in the front, but i use another bent one, seems to work good for me, but i dont tie up to floatilla's very often...

Can you post of pic of the "bent" fenders? I am looking to buy fenders for a boat I recently purchased that has the back corners pretty much under water. How do you keep them from floating to the point they're not effective? Also, do they work well for keeping your boat form sliding underneath the dock?
I have those suction cup PWC fenders that are flexible, but they pop off after a while.

What ever you decide on, I recommend the cloth stretchy covers to keep the scuff marks away.

And they'll double as a handy alcohol container too... :cool:

:cool: Well you could take the liquid refreshments in the fenders, consume them and deflate for easy storage... :cool:
