That hot wheel collection would be cool to have, my son probably has 1,000 cars. But the old classic's are the best. I check them out on e-bay and they sure get up in price.

I have a Ton of Hot Wheels and other Mattell stuff, all the original HW's and a bunch of the original G I Joe stuff, the wooden foot locker , the Space capsule and the parachute harness and chute for G I Joe. I have a coupld of the "Tire" car holders, a ton of track and those purple connectors, a couple of loops, some of the rechargeable cars and the little "Gas Pump" that you plugged into the car held down the top of the pump and recharged your car.
When i was a kid this old guy in our tri-plex threw out his Playboy magazines, well being a young kid and oh so very curious i took them and put them in my room, most of them are from the late 50's and all the way up to the late 60's, had the bright idea do put them away , yes after going thru each and every one of them a few times :D in plastic to keep them preserved, all of them are in great to fair shape, not my doing, and am looking to get rid of them.
The neat part is going back and looking at the issues that had the test drives of the then new Muscle cars, or seeing what the guys should have or own to be the "Playboy" kind of guy. Funny stuff.

and I had a small collection of around a dozen decorative chopsticks - that has diminished to just two sets (not really a collection any longer).

I had a rather extensive collection of German Beer Steins..but lost interest and space. I still have most of them stored in boxes somewhere.
I also have hundreds of old 1960's era comic books..Superman, Batman, etc....again just boxed up and put away. I'm sure some may be worth a lot of dough.

Hotwheels mostly, I have been collecting on and off for 6 years. I would say that my collection would be in the 5,000 car range. I have a fun time doing it along with my 4 year old son. He was not into "wheelin" at first but now he begs me to go out hunting when I get home from work. For those of you out there that are looking for a hobby, hotwheel collecting is cheap and fun to do with your kids. Be careful though, I was strung out on wheels for a while there and was spending $40-$50 a day on cars, wife had to have a intervention to help me get focused again. For those of you who know, I scored 3 hunts on monday night, all 3 were the camaro, one with the painted engine, on real ridders

I have a collection of Hot Wheels, too. About 7-800 or so from the mid-nineties through 02 when I quit trying to keep up. All in the package, some Limited Edition, some Special Editon, and and most First Edition stuff.
I also have about 72 original redline cares dating from the first ones released in 67-68. They have are not in the package and have been played with, but only on carpet. Most are in very good to excellent shape.
They were mine as a kid. Anal then, anal now.
Also have about 100 matchbox cars, the ones made in Enlgand. Same vintage and conditon as above. Same original owner; me.
I have been a subscriber to Hot Rod since the late seventies, and Car Craft since the early eighties. The collection now fills a five drawer file cabinet.
The magazines are not for sale, but I guess the cars are. Someday I'll run into somebody and sell the whole bunch as a package deal.
And then there is this gun thing....
