Was it here that I got this site from? can't remember but the air raid sirens from the 50s were powered by Hemi s Pretty cool EH! just thin that school you went to could have had a hemi on the roof all that time!! :2purples:

Yeah I think it was off here because I got the link too, It's pretty impressive hearing that hemi start to rip! I don't think the people who it was designed for were as impressed as me though!.. My mom told me stories of how loud they were when she was a kid in Germany.

Where I grew up in Sun Valley there was one on the corner. Once a month they tested it like clock work. They worked all right. BTW Sun Valley is just outside LA.

Duck and cover!! I can remember in grade school 10am every month. Late 60’s Downey California just south of LA.
