I might have a buyer for my boat.
What are the steps that needs to be taken on my side and his side?
My loan is through key bank and he is going through a credit union.
Also when is it safe to let him drive off with the boat, once he accepts the bill of sale?
Thanks

I wouldn't let him take off with the boat untill all monies have cleared your bank, or if he cuts you a check make sure it clears your bank and his, once that is said and done bill of sale "As is how it is and where it is" is how i write my bill of sales, CYA you know, after that BOAT SHOPPING!!!!!!! :crossx:

Congrats on the sale man if it pulls through...

lots of bad "cashiers checks" out there too. I'd try to get him to wire the
money into your account on a weekday. that way you can verify it's arrival
into your account. that way there's no question about the funds. don't
forget to write on the bill of sale that it's all done "as is" with no warranties
written or implied by YOU the seller at all. and that any manfs warranties
be the responsibility of the new buyer and the manf but not YOURs.
I would never trust a personal check and don't trust most cashiers checks
as people have been printing them and using them even here in Havasu for
the purpose of buying boats!
