Now I am looking at different companies. I have alot of aftermarket upgrades on my ride so I will be looking for someone to cover them good. Oh and hopefully they can get me a damn rental car so i can make it to work on time :angry2:

Well I guess it pays to have a better company. I should have known.

heres just a small thought. Could it be that this rep just sucks and not the whole company. I personally had a great experience when due to the whole bad valve stem thing last year I had a blowout on the boats trailer tire at 11 at night and progressive had my tire changed in bullhead 30 minutes later. Of course the only reason I have them is because Mercury doesn't insure boats yet but... They may suck in paying out claims. I hope I never had to find out for sure but I just think that sometimes one bad apples spoils the whole barrel.

Hey Man sorry to hear about your Denali. I have a body shop directly dealing with Progressive Insurance in Orange County. Maybe I could help. What city is your SUV being repaired in. Progressive makes us meet very high expectations, customer service, repairs, claims processing, etc. As for your rental you have the right to get a car asap if you have it on your policy. Find out in your policy what your rental. car limits are. hertz is directly linked to supply cars for Progressive. Let me Know. Mr.Pix's

I am in the Insurance business, DO NOT represent Progressive, but they cover my boat (direct, no agent).
Long story short, the carrier is responsible for the coverage and it is more than likely the agent that is failing you and not Progressive as a whole.
Rental on most policies is written as "Rental Reimbursement", meaning that you can go ahead and get the rental and the insurance company will reimburse you subject to the daily and monthly limits, i.e. ($30 day/ $900 mo) on your policy.
If a 3rd party hit you and is 100% At-Fault, then daily and monthly limits do not apply and you will be compensated for the amount of time necessary to fix your vehicle, for a like kind replacement vehicle. You drive a $70,000 Mercedes, you can find one, rent it and be reimbursed by the At-Fault parties insurance carrier, assuming of course they have insurance at all or adequate insurance.
I would only assume that Progressive has a nationwide toll-free claims hotline that you can call for assistance, which usually means them calling like Enterprise and giving them a reservation for a rental on your behalf, that way you get the Insurance Company rate/discount.
Hope this helps. :notam:

Your agent is a independant, a insurance sellsman if you will....Progressive has no agents to speak off that sell coverage other than from progressive them selfs (direct).... :)

Just be careful with these 2 points. Even if the other party is 100% at fault, you may not be reimbursed for a "high-line" replacement. If you're in a Denali, the rental of, say a Suburban may be authorized - similar vehicle.
Every rental company, ESPECIALLY Enterprise will grind you on the incidentals - Insurance, fuel, extras. Don't think for a minute the other person's insurance (or yours) will pick up those extras - just make sure prior to getting the rental that your covered in it - and fill up the gas tank. The favorite justification is that they wouldn't pay you for gas in your car in the shop, so why pay for your rental??.
Good luck.

I have AAA on all vehicles and Progressive on the boat. I wouldnt judge a Insurance company until the claim is paid.

Progressive covers everything we own. We have never had an issue with them, nor a claim. When it comes to taking our money they are always prompt!
Good luck, sorry to hear of your troubles,

Just to put my 2 cents in I have represented Progressive for the past 20yrs and have one of the largest Agencies in California with Progressive and have found them to be fair and fast in the claims. I know that sometimes all companies fall short but a call to the agent can help if you didn't buy it direct. That's what we get paid to do is service the ,billing, claims, changes, etc
Progressive is now called Drive Insurance that is sold by Independant Agents
now if you buy direct it's called Progressive, rates are different as well.So shop around to compare rates.I wish I had a nickle for every bad claim story I have heard about Allstate,21 Century,Mercury,Mcgraw, etc but for the millions they insure their is bound to be a few very upset people with a bad story and alot with good stories.
Also you brought up a good point not all policies cover all the bling-bling people put in their vehicles today T.V's, DVD's,$10k stereo's,$10k Wheels so you better check your policy or call you Agent before it's too late and your in the middle of a claim to find out.
Sorry to read about your misfortune hope it turns out ok.
