Manual (at least mine) says 20 hours of break-in. Some say the motors are broken in before they hit the boat. I choose to go 20 hours.
And, I've heard from a few that the motor should perform better after around 20 hours due to everything seating and such.
Great boat!!! Nothing wrong with Lavey!!!!!

Very Sharp Boat! :)
How long is your boay on the trailer? Do you store it inside?
I'm trying to figure out how big the garage I need to put up prior to moving to this size boat.
